Why CT Ranch Pork?

At CT Ranch, we take pride in raising our pigs the right way. Our heritage breed pigs (Berkshire and Red Wattle Cross )are sustainably raised on pasture, where they forage naturally and live their best life in our "Pig Oasis." We supplement their diet with garden veggies, fruits, kitchen scraps, and even leftover raw milk from our pastured A2 Brown Swiss dairy cows. Plus, they receive an organic, soy-free grain to support their growth and development.

The result? Delicious, healthy pork with unbeatable flavor year after year. And because our pigs are never given hormones, steroids, or antibiotics, you can trust that you're getting only the best quality meat for your family.

All About Buying Bulk Pork:

  • Whole Pork Info: Our pigs typically have an approximate hanging weight of 200-250 lbs, resulting in a final weight between 100-125 lbs depending on your chosen cutting selections. The butcher will reach out to you directly after the scheduled kill date to confirm your cutting instructions.
  • Half Pork Info: Similarly, our half pigs have an approximate hanging weight of 200-250 lbs, with a final weight between 80-125 lbs depending on your cutting selections. Again, the butcher will contact you after the kill date to finalize your instructions.
  • Additional Costs: Please note that the price does not include the Kill Fee and Custom Cut & Wrap services provided by our local butcher. These fees will be paid directly to the butcher at pickup.

Planning Tips and Estimates:

When purchasing bulk pork, it's essential to consider freezer space and meal planning. A whole pig typically requires about 7-10 cubic feet of freezer space, while a half pig needs approximately 3-5 cubic feet. As for meal planning, a whole pig can feed a family of four for about 6-9 months, while a half pig can last around 3-4 months.

Availability and Ordering:

Bulk pork deposits are available for pickup on select dates for the months of September, October & November of 2024.

Please note that our all months are already sold out, so be sure to secure your order soon to avoid missing out!
