CT Ranch Product FAQs

Product FAQs

What makes CT Ranch products different?

At CT Ranch, we focus on small-batch, farm-fresh foods produced with quality and transparency in mind. Our offerings include A2/A2 raw dairy, pasture-raised meats, farm fresh eggs, raw honey, and handcrafted farm products sourced directly from our family farm or farms we partner with that have our same quality standards in place.

What does A2/A2 mean?

A2/A2 refers to the specific protein type naturally found in the milk from our Brown Swiss cows. Many customers say they find A2/A2 dairy easier to enjoy compared to conventional dairy products.

Is your dairy raw?

Yes. Our dairy products are raw and minimally processed (yogurt/kefir/sour cream) to preserve their natural state.

How should I store raw dairy products?

Raw dairy should always be kept cold and refrigerated immediately after pickup. For best freshness, store products in the coldest part of your refrigerator and avoid leaving them at room temperature for extended periods. Dairy in glass will always stay colder/fresher longer than plastic.

How long does raw milk stay fresh?

Freshness can vary depending on storage conditions, but proper refrigeration is key. We recommend consuming products within 10-14 days and always keep products cold during transport. We love ice packs & insulated bags!

Do you use hormones or antibiotics?

We never use hormones on our animals. We prioritize responsible animal stewardship and clean farming practices. If an animal ever requires treatment with antibiotics for health reasons, we follow very strict protocols before any milk or products return to customers.

Are your animals pasture-raised?

Yes. Our animals are raised always on pasture and cared for using practices focused on animal welfare and quality nutrition.

Can I freeze your dairy products?

Some products freeze better than others. Butter, cheese, and cream generally freeze well. Milk may separate slightly after thawing but can still be used.

Why do farm products cost more than grocery store products?

Small family farms prioritize quality over mass production. Our pricing reflects careful animal care, premium feed, labor-intensive production, small-batch processing, and direct-to-consumer service.

Do your products contain additives or fillers?

We aim to keep our products as simple and clean as possible with minimal ingredients and never unnecessary fillers.

Do you offer bulk meat boxes or family bundles?

Yes! We periodically offer bulk meat bundles, seasonal boxes, and family packages.
