Ingredients

  • (2) Pork Chops - Bone-In
  • (1/4 Cup) Flour
  • (To Taste) Salt & Pepper
  • (To taste) A mix of your favourite spices (for example, paprika, sage, thyme)
  • (1 Tbsp) Butter (preferably organic, grass-fed, and raw)
  • (1) Apple, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • (1) Chopped onion

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and your chosen spices. Mix well.
  2. Dredge the pork chops in the flour mixture, ensuring they're fully coated.
  3. Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Once the butter has melted, add the pork chops to the pan and sear until golden brown on each side (about 4-5 minutes per side). Ensure they're cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, add the sliced apple and chopped onion. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized.
  7. Blend the cooked apple and onion with a splash of water until smooth to create the apple sauce. If you prefer a chunkier sauce, you can simply mash them together.
  8. Serve the pan-seared pork chops with the homemade apple sauce on top.
